The China International Public Relations Association (CIPRA)
Ambassador Li, CIPRA President.
The China International Public Relations Association (CIPRA) was established in 1991 with headquartered in Beijing. CIPRA a national organization aimed at international cooperation in the field of public relations. Mr. Li Daoyu, a Member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the former Ambassador of PRC to the United States, is the President of CIPRA. Mr. Tomur Dawamat, Mr. Jiang Zhenghua, Mr. Jing Shuping, Mr. Huang Hua, Mr. Yuan Baohua, Mr. Wang Daohan and Mr. Chai Zemin are the honorary Presidents of the Association.
The vision of CIPRA is to let the world know China and to let China orient itself to the world.
Working Guideline: Guidance, Coordination, Service, Supervision
Major missions of CIPRA are as follows:
- Engaging in public relations theories and practices, and establishing the direction for the PR industry in China;
- Enhancing the social status of the PR industry and its practitioners, protecting their legitimate rights and interests, and regulating the ethics of the profession;
- Providing comprehensive services and training for its members, and promoting the cooperation among PR organizations both at home and abroad, and expediting the process of professionalism, standardization and internationalization of the PR industry in China;
- Developing non-government diplomacy and various high-level communication channels for international exchanges and cooperation, and providing consulting services for both domestic organizations and overseas organizations, so as to serve for the further reforming and fast economic development of China.

Under the leadership of CIPRA, there is an Academic Committee, PR Agencies Committee, and Local Organization Committee. They are separately composed of famous scholars in PR circles in China, presidents of top PR Agencies and leaders of provincial and municipal PR associations.
CIPRA has a secretariat as its standing body. Under the secretariat, there are Membership Department, Foreign Liaison Department, Study and Development Department, Information and Consulting Department, Education and Training Department, Human Resources Department and Administrative office. CIPRA has invited a large number of high-rank government officials, senior editors and journalists, senior managers of famous enterprises, and distinguished PR experts and scholars as its council members.
The office of PR Committee of State Occupational Qualification Working Commission is set in the Secretariat.
