Forbidden City of Beijing ChinaForbidden City of Beijing China.

China is forever linked to its ancient civilization, friendly people, and many of the world's most revered treasures, such as The Great Wall, Terra-Cotta Warriors & Horses and the Yangtze River. Today, you can also find spectacular architecture and towering skylines in Beijing and Shanghai, a wealth of luxury accommodations - and as always - exquisite cuisine.

Plan to attend the 2008 IPRA Public Relations World Congress and see why China is drawing millions of visitors from all over the world. The Xinhua News Agency reported that a record 472,000 overseas tourists arrived in Beijing during October 2007, pushing the number of foreign visitors to the city to 3.68 million in the first 10 months of 2007. During the January-October period, foreign nationals made 3.23 million visits to Beijing, up 14.2 percent. Compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan contributed 449,000 visits, up 3.1 percent.

The United States was the city's number one source of overseas tourists with 521,000 arrivals, up 21.7 percent, in the first 10 months. Japan was second with 488,000 visits, up 20.1 percent, followed by the Republic of Korea at 383,000, an increase of 6.8 percent.
